Sometimes Life is a Day at the Beach – Part I

Today LION took us to a Chinese equivalent of Sea World, a fantastic lunch with dumplings, the Dalian Museum of Natural History, and the beach. The beach is nothing like what we from the east coast are used to at the Jersey shore.

The story of the day is probably best told with pictures, so here we go. This will be told in serial form, to keep you wanting more!

We started the day at Ocean Park, a Chinese equivalent of Sea World. This is the entrance, and the next photo shows Bangjie, my TA, and the flag we followed all day.

The first thing we did was see the main show, with a story, people, and dolphins! The story was two little girls, sisters, going to sleep and dreaming about foreign lands and adventures. As you will see in the pictures, they really pack us in.

This is an overview of the venue, and some idea of how tightly packed in we were.

The next photo shows part of our group, with me, Michelle, Claudia, and Jorge in a row after me.

The next photo was taken just before the show began, followed by a short video that will give you an idea of what the show was like. Stick around to the end, it is only 0:43 long, and there are jumping dolphins!
